Meet Ali: A Visionary Leader with 28 Years of International Expertise
Ali, our distinguished guru, boasts an illustrious 28-year career with ExxonMobil Corporation, where he seamlessly navigated through 13 diverse assignments spanning the USA, Belgium, Cyprus, and Egypt. His invaluable experience encompasses the energy sector and the intricate management of large international organizations.
Within ExxonMobil, Ali excelled in three pivotal fields: Sales, Project Management, and Strategic Planning. His tenure as the Global Aviation Sales Director showcased his exceptional leadership. Leading a multicultural team dispersed across five continents, he spearheaded the sales of Aviation lubricants to major airlines, safeguarding the business even during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Under his guidance, the team achieved remarkable success, setting record results in 2021.
Ali’s leadership journey also led him to the helm of significant organizations. He served as the President and Managing Director of ExxonMobil Cyprus from 2004 to 2008 and subsequently as the Vice President and Managing Director of ExxonMobil Egypt from 2012 to 2017. In these roles, he engaged extensively with governments on energy-related matters and delved into the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, managing a network of stores and creating a new brand.
His international exposure, living in four different countries, honed his multicultural leadership skills. Ali’s ability to inspire diverse teams during challenging moments, coupled with his strategic acumen, has earned him a stellar reputation. He furthered his expertise through executive education programs at renowned institutions such as Thunderbird University in Phoenix, Arizona, and Insead in Fontainebleau, France. Additionally, he underwent personalized leadership development coaching and media training, showcasing his commitment to continuous growth.
After retiring from ExxonMobil in 2022, Ali embarked on a new chapter with Chevron in Saudi Arabia as a business consultant. His vast expertise contributes significantly to our guru network, enriching our team with his global insights and strategic foresight.
Ali holds a BSC of mechanical engineering from Zagazig University and Masters of business administration form Sunderland university in the UK.
