Engineer Amal Mabadi, a graduate of Cairo University’s Faculty of Engineering with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1989, is a specialist in education, psychology, and business management. She began her career as a civil engineer at the Suez Canal Authority, spending over thirteen years in Denmark. It was during her time in Denmark, alongside her husband and children, that she embarked on a remarkable journey of leading fundraising campaigns involving Egyptians and Arabs to establish the 57357 Children’s Cancer Hospital.

Furthermore, she played a vital role in improving the image of Islam and Muslims during a campaign addressing the Danish caricatures of our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. Upon her return to Egypt, she held various prominent positions in public and volunteer work, including being the President of the Egyptian Sports Federation for Mental Disabilities.

Engineer Amal made history by becoming the first-ever global president of the federation, where she introduced a groundbreaking system for classifying mental disabilities, which was adopted worldwide. She was also nominated as a board member of the International Federation for Intellectual Disabilities under the International Paralympic Committee in 2017.

Her commitment to advocating for the rights of people with disabilities continued as she organized numerous events and campaigns with the endorsement and patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Additionally, she led a successful campaign to raise awareness about the importance of early breast cancer detection in collaboration with Bahia Hospital.
